Emile Colling Represented Luxembourg at the Veteran World Championships in Manama

Our veteran fencer Emile Colling proudly represented Luxembourg at the Veteran World Championships 2024 in Manama, Bahrain, competing in the V2 category (50–59 years).

Emile began the day with an excellent poule round: V5 – V5 – V5 – V3 – D1 – D3

These solid victories earned him 27th place after the poule phase, allowing him to advance directly to the Table of 64.

In his first elimination match, Emile faced Alexey Arkhipov. Despite a determined effort, he was edged out and concluded his run in the early direct elimination round.

At the end of the competition, Emile placed 35th in the Veteran World Championship ranking — a strong result at this elite international level.

We congratulate Emile Colling for his commitment, preparation, and for representing Luxembourg and our club on the world stage. His performance in the poules and his overall ranking reflect his hard work and competitive spirit.
